1. What Rifuel is
Rifuel is a free app for iOS and Android that compares petrol, diesel and LPG prices in Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Spain and Portugal. It shows nearby stations with up-to-date prices, logs your fill-ups, and works out whether it's worth refuelling on the other side of the border.
2. Why it exists
Anyone who lives or travels near a border knows it: the same litre can cost up to 30 cents less just a few kilometres away, across the line. But working out whether that difference really justifies the detour — counting the extra fuel and any tolls — takes maths nobody wants to do at the pump. Rifuel exists to do that maths for you, honestly.
3. What sets us apart
- Net cross-border savings: we don't stop at the posted price, we subtract the real cost of the detour and tolls. It's the thing no other app does the same way.
- Declared freshness: on every station you can see how long ago the price was recorded. If a value is old, we tell you.
- Free and ad-free on the screens where you pick the station: the choice should stay yours, not be steered by an ad.
- Privacy-respecting: your location is used only in real time to sort stations by distance and is not stored on our servers.

4. Who is behind it
Rifuel is an independent project built and run by Enzo Corsiero, based in Italy (Sesto San Giovanni, MI). We're not a fuel multinational and we don't take payments from station operators: that lets us show prices with no conflict of interest and keep the app free.
