Rifuel collects fuel prices from official sources and community reports across Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Spain and Portugal. For every station you see the price of petrol, diesel and LPG and how long ago it was recorded, so you always know how fresh the data is.
Border Smart automatically compares your station with the ones on the other side of the border. It doesn't stop at the posted price: it subtracts the extra fuel for the detour and any tolls, then tells you whether crossing is actually worth it, and by how much.
Log every fill-up to track consumption, cost per kilometre and yearly spend, set an alert for when prices drop near you, and compare the last 30 days of history. The app is free and shows no ads on the screens where you pick the station.

How are fuel prices updated?
Each country has different official sources: MISE in Italy, prix-carburants in France, regional cartographic services for Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia. Rifuel aggregates and normalises every 15 minutes. On each map pin you can see when the price was last refreshed.
Does it work abroad?
Yes. Cross-border coverage is the core of the product: Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia. Border Smart automatically compares your current station with the ones on the other side of the border.
Does Rifuel track my movements?
No. Location is used in real time only to sort stations by distance. Nothing leaves the device except the calls to price servers, sent anonymously.
How much do you actually save?
It depends on how much you drive and how often you cross the border. The €486/year estimate is based on 2 cross-border fill-ups per month, with average 2024–2025 spreads between Italy and Switzerland, Slovenia, France. People living within 20 km of the border save much more.
Is the app really free?
